Flames of War: Sd Kfz 222 / 221 Scout Troop (GBX201)The Sd Kfz 221 is a four wheel drive, light armoured car, with a crew of two, armed with a MG34 machine gun. It was designed to meet operational requirements that included reliability, an ability to run on a variety of grades of fuel, simple construction, and good off road performance. It entered production in 1935. Before the war it was decided the Sd Kfz 221 was too lightly armed, so between 1936 and 1937 a new up armed armoured car was designed.
